Iranian President Signals Readiness for US Talks
On Tuesday, Iranian state television reported that Pezeshkian engaged in telephone discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During his conversation with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Pezeshkian conveyed hope that "negotiations between Iran and the US will begin soon and lead to a positive outcome."
He emphasized that Iran is looking for just and sensible agreements that adhere to international law, ensuring the inalienable rights of the Iranian population while fostering regional stability and growth.
Pezeshkian also stated, "We have no demands beyond our rightful entitlements and welcome any support from friendly and brotherly nations in resolving these matters."
This reflects Iran's stance of pursuing fair resolutions without any undue demands.
The report also highlighted that bin Salman reaffirmed his country's condemnation of Israel’s actions against Iran from the beginning.
He further assured that no country in the region, including Saudi Arabia, has permitted or will permit its airspace to be used for hostile actions against Iran.
"We, nor any other country in our region, have opened our airspace for any action against Iran, and we will not do so. There will also be no operations against Iran from US bases in our countries. We also understand your obligations to respond to the US attack," bin Salman remarked.
