Afghan Police Burn Nearly Four Tons of Seized Narcotics

(MENAFN) Afghanistan’s counter-narcotics police have publicly destroyed almost four tons of illegal drugs in Nimroz, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

“Counter-narcotics police forces have set ablaze more than 3,984 kilograms of various narcotic substances that were discovered and collected over the past year from areas in Nimroz province,” the ministry said in a post on its official social media account X.

The confiscated drugs were seized through multiple operations across the province and were burned in a public display aimed at demonstrating the authorities’ ongoing efforts to combat the narcotics trade in Afghanistan.
